Back to School Volunteer Days
Parents are invited behind the scenes to help teachers and staff get the school ready for the new year! No special skills required.
Back to School Bash & Clothing Swap
See old friends and meet new ones! Held on the Mitchell campus, there will be a food truck, music, and ice cream for all! Bring gently used clothes to donate and do your back to school “shopping” here!
Friends of Mitchell Fridays
Join us on the playground after school on designated Fridays for popsicles or popcorn. Let the kids play while parents can catch up!
Back to School Movie Night
Bring your blankets and chairs to the school parking lot to enjoy a movie outside! Movie starts at dusk. Concessions will be available for purchase.
Fun Run
The kids in K-7 run laps around a fun course set up at the Mitchell School parking lot. Kids get sponsors for their laps, then they listen to great tunes and run!
Parents Night Out
Drop your kids off at the Mitchell Gym for an evening of babysitting!
Mom’s Night Out
This is an opportunity for the Moms to meet, mingle, eat and have some refreshments!
Dad’s Night Out
Now it’s the Dads turn to get together. Meet other dads while enjoying food & drinks.
Trunk or Treat
Decorate the trunk of your car, or just show up with your family to enjoy a fun trick-or-treating experience. There will be activities, prizes and food to enjoy. Bring the little ones to trick or treat in the parking lot!
Scholastic Book Fair
Kids love the book fair! Buy books for your kids and their classrooms. Open all day during Report card Pick Up.
National Day of Giving
Join us on this day of charitable giving to support Mitchell.
Winter Wonderland
The kids earn Bobcat Bucks for various displays of awesomeness during the school day. Then they get to use those bucks to shop for presents for their family, friends and even pets. The library is transformed into a magical place where the children get to come and spend some time thinking about the ones they love while learning about budgeting.
Athleta Shopping Event
Join Mitchell families at Athleta for a private shopping event with discounts, swag, and a give-back to our school!
Family Dance
Come as a family and enjoy dancing, refreshments and so much more!
Adult Dodgeball Tournament
Get your team together to compete against Mitchell parents and staff while the kids cheer us on!
Altitude Takeover
Join Mitchell families while we take over Altitude – who doesn’t love a good trampoline party?
Evening of Dreams
Join us for an evening of food, drink, dancing, silent auction and raffle. Auction and raffle include classroom projects, teacher outings, signup parties and items donated by local business. Evening of Dreams is the largest fundraiser of the year for Friends of Mitchell. It raises money for essential programs and activities at Mitchell that affect all students in all grade levels.
Adopt a Flower
Use your creativity to help beautify Mitchell’s campus. Reserve a flower, paint it as a family and we’ll hang it on the fence for all to enjoy.
National Bike to School Day
Ride your bike or scooter to school!
Family Fun Fair
Play carnival games, dunk a teacher, get your face painted, enjoy refreshments and have fun outside!
Summer Reading Book Swap
Bring your used books to school and trade them in for some fresh summer reads!
